United Nations International School Gets New Gym Floor

Over this past summer, the United Nations International School (UNIS) experienced a flood in their enclosed rooftop gym that required extensive remediation and cleanup. When all was said and done, their existing floor was no longer in useable condition and needed to be replaced prior to the kids coming back to school in September. Leaders from UNIS immediately thought to contact Mateflex because of the work they had done in one of their other schools and the exceptional support and service that they had received through the years. Very little time was available to remove the old floor, clean up, and install the new floor, but Mateflex was willing to work with the school to meet the challenge. From the time the order was placed for this 8,000 square foot project to the time that Mateflex was finished; only two weeks had passed. In that time, Mateflex manufactured, shipped, and installed the new ProGym surface all within the strict time constraints that the school had given. The school now has a brand new multi-purpose gym surface that will provide a long service life. As shown in the picture, this is a rooftop air structure known at the school as “the bubble.” Since it is difficult to get material and equipment into this space, it has collected throughout the years, adding one more hurdle for the Mateflex team during installation but they handled it with ease. This terrific sporting area boasts all that would be needed for basketball, volleyball, tennis, and nearly any other activity one could imagine. This is just one of many success stories where Mateflex has exceeded expectations.
